Chapter 39 Introducing a Woman to Young Master Hunter
"The family is pressuring me hard to get married. If I don’t get married soon, I might not get a dime of the family assets, all of it would be snatched away by others."
"Are you in it for the money?"
Isabella Weaver finally breathed a sigh of relief. She thought to herself that she wasn’t stunning enough for someone to insist on marrying her at first sight.
She earnestly suggested to him, "Mr. Hunter, if you really need someone to marry, I could recommend someone. My colleague Cora Ginger is a great person and really eager to get married. You could ask her."
"No, too ugly."
How is Cora Ginger ugly? Her almond-shaped eyes curve charmingly, and her lips always wear a smile. She looks so fresh and appealing!
"Irene from the club’s PR is a great beauty, gentle in personality, with many talents, and most importantly, she can really hold her liquor. You’ll have someone to drink with in the future!"
"No, too old."
How is Irene old? She’s only twenty-four, the perfect age when a woman sheds her youthful greenness and steps into maturity, full of charm!
"Emily Chapman, our school’s beauty, is the same age as me, nineteen, as beautiful as a fairy. It’s rumored she has a big crush on rich young boys like you. I can help you get her number!"
"No, too tacky."
Isabella was speechless. This didn’t work either? That young master is hard to please!
Harry Hunter turned indifferently and, before leaving, didn’t forget to remind Isabella Weaver, "There are lots of benefits to marrying me. Give it some more thought."
Isabella watched his tall figure disappear and couldn’t help massaging her aching temples.
She had never thought about marriage. She hadn’t even graduated yet!
"Oh right, the ring!"
She suddenly called out in a low voice, hurriedly searching every corner of the office, eventually finding the ring in a corner.
But at this moment, the door opened again, and the man who had clearly left appeared once more in Isabella Weaver’s sight.
Harry Hunter seemed to be in a good mood, "Looks like you really do like this ring."
Isabella was caught red-handed and didn’t know how to explain for a moment, but by the time she figured out what was happening, Harry had already turned and walked away.
Isabella was so angry she almost spat blood!
Oh, Harry Hunter dared to deliberately throw the ring to test her!
What’s more infuriating is, she couldn’t just throw the ring away and had to keep it safe for him.
Because it was clear Harry didn’t really not care about this ring, or he wouldn’t have kept it close to him all the time.
She originally thought he had prepared the ring for the proposal, only to later understand he hadn’t prepared it just for the proposal, rather the ring held special significance to him, he always carried it with him.
Isabella carefully kept the ring, packed her bag, and went down to the service staff’s workroom to find Cora Ginger.
The moment Cora Ginger saw her, she lunged forward to hug her, "Isabella, Isabella! You’re back! That’s great!"
Though small and delicate, she had quite a bit of strength, nearly knocking Isabella off balance, who had to step back to avoid falling.
Laughing, Isabella hugged her back, "Great about what? I’m still a bit confused right now."
"Oh, right, right, right!"
Cora suddenly seemed to remember something, stepped back after releasing Isabella, bent over in a mock salute, and said theatrically, "Greetings, President Weaver, please take good care of your old partner!"
Isabella was amused by her antics and gave her a light slap, "Stop fooling around, I’m not any President Weaver. I’m just here to handle things today, not coming back tomorrow."
"Huh? Why?"
Cora’s eyes widened in shock, "Is Boss Duff not letting you take the position anymore? Let’s go find Young Master Hunter!"
