Chapter 855: 422 Respectful_1
Silvia Hayes glanced at her watch, tapping her foot impatiently.

Finally, the prison gate opened, and a figure staggered out.
“Mom.” Silvia Hayes rushed to greet her.
In just a few days, Guele Rinto looked as though she’d aged more than a decade, with gray streaking through her hair.
Her eyes were ringed with dark circles that spoke of bad sleep, her appearance haggard and pitiful.
Upon seeing Silvia Hayes, Guele Rinto immediately broke down in tears.
...
Silvia Hayes patted her on the back, “I’m sorry, mom. I shouldn’t have let you suffer.”
Silvia Hayes could see her cousin was trying to teach her mother a lesson. By choosing to help her mom, she’d be defying her cousin.
Caught between the two, she chose silence.
She let it be a lesson for her mother.
Guele Rinto vented her frustrations for a while.
The prison was a living hell. Even though she had been locked up in a separate room, the women in the next room screamed and wailed every night, more horrifying than a horror movie. Since her arrival here, she hadn’t had decent sleep or food.
“By the way, where’s Birch Cliff?”
Upon hearing Guele Rinto’s first thought was about Birch Cliff, Silvia Hayes’ expression darkened slightly.
“This isn’t the place to talk. We’ll discuss it when we get home.”
“What did you say? Aubree Groove is still alive?” Guele Rinto couldn’t keep up with Silvia Hayes’ train of thought.
She had been cut off from the world in prison and knew nothing about what was happening on the outside.
“How can she be alive?” Guele Rinto frowned, “Did she and Agave Rinto stage this as a drama?”
Silvia Hayes thought her mother was finally catching on.
“Those two, they are as equally cunning and ruthless. I thought she was easy to bully,” Guele Rinto said reflectively.
After Silvia Hayes had told her about the Summer International affairs, Guele Rinto was shocked and fell into silence.
“Where’s Linden Sky?” Guele Rinto suddenly asked.
Silvia Hayes hit the brakes hard, almost running a red light.
Silvia Hayes had been tracking Linden Sky for the past few days, but he seemed to have disappeared without a trace.
Linden Sky held the Green Dragon Order in his hand and her cousin won’t let him go. She had someone watching her cousin and any movement from him would be immediately reported.
Seemingly confirming her hypothesis, the phone in Silvia Hayes’ bag began to ring urgently.
Silvia Hayes looked at the caller ID and quickly answered.
Whatever the person on the other end said, it seemed to relax Silvia Hayes. She hung up, revved the engine, and sped off. Guele Rinto instinctively grabbed the handle on the roof.
They stopped at their home. Silvia Hayes took out a makeup bag and said as she touched up her makeup, “Mom, there’s something urgent I need to do. You go ahead home, I’ll come back and stay with you later tonight.”
Guele Rinto had many questions in her heart, but seeing that Silvia Hayes was busy doing her makeup, she held back, quietly exiting the car.
“By the way, Birch Cliff is definitely involved with Virginia Frost. Our cousin won’t let him off. Don’t think about saving him, otherwise I won’t be able to save you.”
Guele Rinto’s face turned a bit unpleasant, “After all, I’m still his auntie, he can’t be that ruthless.”
“Auntie?” Silvia Hayes laughed scornfully.
“He has more aunts than just you.”
With that, Silvia Hayes drove off.
She saw Guele Rinto in her rear-view mirror, standing at the entrance of their home, not moving until she was just a shadow in the distance.
This week, her cousin had been visiting Aubree Groove in the hospital every day, sending the Rintos’ chef to prepare a variety of soups. He even specially chartered a plane to transport ingredients from overseas. The kind of things he had never done before.
Now, the word was that Agave Rinto was particularly filial to his younger aunt. The apparent closeness between aunt and nephew quelled rumors of family discord.
Filial? That was too ironic.
What was her cousin really up to?
Was it for the other half of the Green Dragon Order in Aubree Groove’s hands?
That seemed to be the only explanation that made sense.
She set the GPS to Era Square. Her informant had just reported that her cousin and Finnian Moore had left the hospital and were heading towards Era Square.
There must be news of Linden Sky.
Silvia Hayes felt a bit excited.
Linden Sky. The name lingered on her lips, stirring her heart.
Era Square was the busiest landmark in Pethkids, with massive foot traffic, especially on weekends.
The Era Building located to the north of Era Square was a complex of shopping mall and offices serving the elite white-collar crowd.
The Era Building was enormous. There were twelve entrances alone, not including the underground garage and emergency exits.
