Chapter 1217: The Demon Arrived
“What’s going on? What happened?” Beside the altar, the goblin Ravel screamed, “Padovan, what are you laughing at? Why is it different from what you told me? No, stop it, I order you to stop this magic immediately.”
The witch pointed her wand at him, her expression grim and tinged with madness.
“Shut up, goblin!”
“How dare you speak to me in this tone? Do you even know who I…” His voice stopped abruptly.
“Avada Kedavra!” the witch said cruelly, raising her wand.
The ghostly green light hit the goblin, and he fell backwards, with an expression of disbelief.
The wizards all gasped. Ravel was dead, just like that, but the chaos had only just begun.
“Master, I am summoning you, descend into this world and bring glory to this decaying realm,” the witch shouted.
As if in response to her call, the Ruins of Amun Ra shook violently, and countless pieces of rubble and dust fell.
There was a brief pause, and then another violent vibration.
Obviously, this was a sign that some powerful creature was coming — the terrible demon.
“Hahahaha, open your eyes, stupid wizards, this is the power of the Master,” the witch turned around to face the crowd and laughed wildly again. The shrill laughter that reached the depths of her soul echoed again, and she seemed very satisfied with the current situation.
“What are you doing?” many wizards shouted in panic.
“I am leading you to witness glory,” she screamed. “See the fate of this fragile world — everyone will succumb to the Master’s majesty. Kneel down and tremble, and feel the power of the Raven’s Claw! Repent, and you will be redeemed!”
“What a lunatic!” Evan sighed.
But he had to admit, this move was effective. The atmosphere that had been tense and oppressive now turned into complete chaos.
“I’ve heard of the Raven’s Claw; they announced a few days ago that they had pledged allegiance to the Dark Lord!”
“It’s the Dark Lord! He’s the one who orchestrated all of this!”
“The Dark Lord is here!”
The mention of Voldemort’s name intensified the panic, and many people began sobbing and even knelt on the ground in submission.
Evan had never seen anything like this before. It seemed that wizards from all regions were utterly terrified of Voldemort.
Those foreign wizards spread rumors and became even more frightened.
“Let’s get out of here, Evan. This is the Dark Lord’s magic,” Rawya shouted urgently, trying to pull Evan away.
But the chamber was now in complete chaos; some were kneeling and begging for mercy, some were hesitating, and more were instinctively trying to escape. However, the narrow passage they entered through made it impossible for everyone to retreat in a short time.
And it was too late. The symbol at the top of the last Obelisk of the Stars had also turned blood red.
The rubies on the spires of the surrounding small obelisks were also being lit up one by one, soon to be fully covered.
Once all the gemstones were charged, the magical mechanism on the last obelisk would be triggered, and the demon would descend.
“Don’t go over there, there are too many people.” Evan pulled Rawya back to a place where there were fewer people.
The next second, there was a loud rumble from the secret passage, and someone in front shouted that the path was blocked.
The Dark wizards of Raven’s Claw intended to trap everyone here; everyone was going to die.
“There’s no way out!” some wizards shouted, “Rush up and kill that witch, stop the ongoing magic.”
But before they could take any action, the magic on the final Obelisk of the Stars had been completed.
The jade on top of the Obelisk of the Stars glowed red, and the other obelisks around it were also charged one after another.
At some point, it began to rain inside the chamber.
Swish, swish—swish, swish.
The rain was dark red with a fishy smell. It felt sticky and uncomfortable when it fell on the skin.
This bloody rain — it was actual blood!
Along with the blood rain, the space was shaking violently with almost no pause.
Thump, thump, thump — the sound of a heartbeat seemed to echo right next to everyone’s ears.
It was getting closer and closer, and the apocalyptic scene was becoming clearer and clearer.
The witch of Raven’s Claw had already knelt down, prostrating herself on the ground, muttering something unintelligible.
Following her lead, more and more wizards knelt down, praying incoherently or begging for the Dark Lord’s forgiveness.
If Voldemort appeared at this moment, many would surely rush forward, competing to kiss his robes.
Evan suddenly felt that the reason they had not become Death Eaters was not because they were inclined towards the light, but because they never had the chance.
If Voldemort were to step out of Britain, his army would swell in numbers.
“What should we do?” Rawya asked breathlessly, her body trembling.
“Wait,” Evan said, holding the Eye of Horus tightly in his hand, “wait for that demon to come out.”
The chamber was filled with an overwhelming sense of dread, and the blood rain was getting heavier.
The vibration of the space began to become regular, synchronized with the sound of the heartbeat.
The next second, the demon came!!!
Above the central magic altar, a massive portal opened and an enormous entity came out.
“Who is calling me?” said a deep and cold voice, resonating in everyone’s heart.
It wasn’t in a language they could understand, yet somehow, they understood it.
“It is I, your most loyal servant, great deity. I offer everything to you without reservation,” the witch hurriedly shouted.
She crawled forward, gazing fanatically at the demon that emerged from the portal.
Like all the other breathless wizards, Evan was watching it too — seeing a gigantic scorpion slowly crawl out from within the portal.
It was a demon — a scorpion-shaped demon.
This creature had a crimson human-like face, elongated, with a large mouth full of sharp fangs.
There were two horns on its head, which was a symbol of the devil!
It slowly moved forward; holding high two huge, sharp pincers that flashed a heart-pounding green light.
Continuing downward was its nightmarishly massive body, covered in a glistening pale gray exoskeleton adorned with intricate magical runes. It was several hundred feet long, with eight legs, as thick as Evan’s body, extending from its sides, each covered in thick bristles.
The most terrifying thing was its tail — a disproportionately large tail.
It was tightly curled up, directly above its body.
But no one doubted that when stretched out, it would bring death.
Under the crimson light, the scorpion that had just emerged from the portal looked extremely ferocious.

For a moment, there was no sound in the chamber, not even the sound of breathing — only the swishing of the blood rain as it fell to the ground…
