Chapter 818: Imperfection
The alien surrounded Selena again with its roots. Instead of Yin Zhen and Sasha, it was Selena that chose to respond in kind.
She waved her wand in a circular motion. The ena spun around her, knocking the roots to the side.
Yet the moment she lowered her hand, the ena suddenly stopped circulating and looked like they wanted to turn around. However, the imperfection of her skill caused the ena to hit each other and produced a shock wave instead.

The shock wave knocked the aliens away.
'This is not it either. There's something fundamentally different between my manipulation and Duke Coline's control.

As a result, she used that imperfection to change the direction of the ena again, causing a powerful shock wave that directly hit the warrior class alien.
The blast knocked the alien to the ground as the roots were still attached to the soil, preventing him from getting launched into the air.
Even that imperfection could actually produce enough strength to threaten a warrior class alien.
"…" Selena raised her staff.
The alien wouldn't allow her to do anything, but this time, Risa had returned to Selena's side, using her blood to protect her. Yin Zhen and Sasha charged forward, dealing with the lower-level aliens.

"Fallen Heaven…" Selena paused for a moment before twitching her finger up. "…Imperfection!"
The moment the Fallen Heaven was about to reach the alien, Selena changed the direction of her ena with the imperfection to cause it to burst right on top of the alien.

The explosion was so powerful that it turned the ground underneath the warrior class alien into a massive crater and blew away all the trees around it.
The warrior class alien managed to put the branches up to block the blast, but two-thirds of them actually snapped, unable to endure that much pressure.
Instead of fighting an alien stronger than herself, it looked like Selena was the one bullying this poor alien.
Of course, the warrior class alien couldn't really take advantage of its number due to Risa, Sasha, and Yin Zhen blocking his attacks and other aliens from reaching Selena. Even Amphitrite had screened out most of the aliens.
If there were only the warrior class alien and Selena in this place, Selena would definitely have a harder time since she had to defend against its attack, but she didn't forget that they were still on a mission.
If she wanted to gain the trust of the Sword Saint, she should show how strong she was.
And she planned to do it by dominating the warrior class alien. With this new Imperfection technique, she might be able to stand equal to that of Noelle.
"Well, I don't think I can replicate it easily. I guess that's what to be expected from a technique that a world class summoner used. For now, it's time to end this battle." Selena muttered and lifted up her wand.
While Selena started fighting with everything she had, Brunhild and the humanoid alien had a fierce clash.
They exchanged blow after blow.
Brunhild had a hard time deflecting the alien's attacks. However, she actually was the one who had the upper hand.
After dodging the alien's attack, she slashed the back of the alien's leg, forcing the alien to go around and hit her.
Brunhild blocked it first with the handle of her spear before knocking it down before getting overpowered by that fist. Then she lifted up her foot and used the magic to create a blade underneath her shoe before stepping on the alien's foot, locking it to the ground.
The alien obviously thought she was foolish and tried to reach her. It wanted to hit her hard because it knew Brunhild would just fall down due to her sticking her shoe to the ground just to impale its foot.
However, Brunhild swiftly ducked down and looped around before lowering her stance and striking the alien's leg from behind, cutting it.
The alien fell down due to the sudden loss of a leg, so Brunhild came to stab him in the head.
The alien blocked it by letting her pierce its arm instead. Then it punched Brunhild in the stomach.
"Gah!" Brunhild spat a mouthful of blood as her body was launched into the air.
Brunhild gritted her teeth and extended her hand. "Come!"
Her spear shook in the alien's arm before suddenly pulling itself out and flying back toward its master.
She caught her spear as a magic circle appeared at the back of the spear. The spear suddenly formed a pair of wings in the socket.
The spear moved at a fast speed, carrying a tremendous amount of ena.
The alien tried to attack the spear with its claws, but all of a sudden, the pure white glow on the spear was tainted by a dark energy. The energy actually didn't try to suppress this white energy or even fight it. Instead, it was assimilating with the white energy to amplify its power even further.
"!!!" Brunhild widened her eyes and lifted up her head, finding Asmodeus extending his hand toward her spear. He was definitely the culprit.
The spear, carrying black and white energy, hit the alien's claws and shattered them before continuing toward the alien.
Boom!
