Chapter 402: How was this the strength of a teenager?
(Please, this is fictional so no offense to China. Really. You’re a great country and we love you. Well, I love you. Don’t know about the rest.)
Su Feng’s tongue was tied. He didn’t know how or why he couldn’t talk back to her when he was so infuriated by her insult. She was just a kid, after all. Even though she was that powerful, she shouldn’t be able to make him fear this much.
It was as if she had grown a set of sharp and fierce fangs since the last time he saw her. Those fangs could rip him apart before he even knew it. He gulped. This was troubling.
He looked around. Why wasn’t anyone saying anything?
The guild masters and even the elders... No one was saying anything to correct that brat’s words.
Su Feng seemed to have forgotten that during the last meeting, Alice had shut down one of the guild masters, Fredrick, who tried to ’correct’ her as an Adult.
And among the other guild masters, the master of the flame guild, Justin, has experienced defeat so many times that he didn’t want to humiliate himself in front of everyone when knowing he wasn’t even an opponent to her.
Devon was on her side, obviously.
Samson, the guild master of the Brute Guild, as well as Diane’s boyfriend... Well, he didn’t want to get involved and wanted to simply observe how the situation would go.
The Elders who had been scolded by the Chairman when they called an emergency meeting due to Alice’s actions could only bow their heads and not say a thing about it.
So... There was no one who would side with him.
"Alice," Adolf called after managing to stop his urge to laugh at how she had humiliated Su Feng. "I understand that China made a very ’unreasonable’ request, but it is true that they have one of the best forces in the world."
"Is there anyone in their forces that is up to your level, gramps?" Alice asked, and people started murmuring.
"How could anyone be at the level of the chairman?" freёnovelkiss.com
"He’s the strongest in the world, and the only one who can be compared to him is that lunatic in Brazil,, but even that person won’t have an easy time taking on the chairman’s attacks."
"Ahem!" Adolf cleared his throat, silencing them. "Alice, there is no one as powerful as me in China." He said, and Alice tilted her head a bit.
"In that case, we don’t need them, they’re all a bunch of weaklings." Alice boldly remarked.
That word hit everyone hard. How could she call the forces of China a bunch of weaklings?
"How dare you!?" Su Feng yelled, but the powerful man beside him decided to take action. He got up and flew down in a single light, landing in front of Alice with murderous eyes.
He had this shabby look, but it was evident that he was a powerful force, given how he was able to withstand Adolf’s glare while standing up close.
He must’ve thought he was hot stuff because Adolf did not say anything to him and simply let him do as he pleased, but his opponent was right in front of him, so he could ’enjoy’.
"It seems this is the first time we’re meeting." He said with his gaze down. "I don’t like to beat up kids so I’ll let it go if you simply apolo--" He suddenly saw Alice’s hand in front of him and she flicked his forehead, sending him flying with such a force that it made Fredrick’s back ache as his body remembered ’that’ incident.
Alice sent him flying with just a kick. ’Sucks to be you.’ He thought, pitying the Chinese man.
At least he was taken out with a kick, but to think this man would be taken out with a single finger flick. That would definitely bruise his ego for life.
Everyone was left stunned.
That man whom Alice sent flying was known as ’Iron body Zhang’, known for his body’s sturdiness, great defense, and equally great attack. He was the leader of China’s Awakened Agency, an S-Class, as well as the third strongest in his country. And yet... Alice sent him flying with a single flick? How?
Alice blew her finger as she glared at the man who had fallen unconscious.
"Next time," Alice said, showing her disdain for the likes of him. "...when you stand in front of me, make sure to hide that disgusting, murderous intent. I’m quite sensitive to murderous intent this period, so count your stars that I didn’t kill you."
Everyone was beyond shocked. Zhang had fallen unconscious without even a chance to resist, and his iron body, which had been activated in self-defense, was shattered.
How was this the strength of a teenager?
"As I was saying," Alice turned back to the council, "...we don’t need China. And as for the rest of you who are considering getting compensation for your ’heroic act’," she glared at them. "...you better start thinking of the greater good and be content with being praised as heroes."
The words of a girl who was yet to clock 18 sank deep into them, along with the fear she had instilled in them.
Alice had the entire situation wrapped around her fingers. She was prepared to shut up these annoying people who were always interrupting her life.
They felt they could do whatever they wanted and summon her whenever, simply because they belonged to the association? Well, they were mistaken. She would put them in their place this very day and they would come to fear her name even from their sleep.
The strongest takes it all, and the strongest one rules. So far, she was the strongest, and if anyone had a problem with her, they could come up to her and she would put them in their place.
Alice talked boldly and confidently concerning the issues with the falling nations/countries.
Creating teams was a necessity, and splitting the rewards at the end was important. Of course, it’d get split according to everyone’s effort, but they couldn’t calculate it individually, so they’d have to calculate it per team. So, each team had to do their best, and when it was over, the countries they belonged to would share the proceeds.
Obviously, the team from America would do the most because Alice had volunteered to take on parts that China should have initially taken.
’I need the experience anyway. I need to see how much stronger I’ve become and also kill more monsters to raise my experience points.’ she thought.
At least, that was what Leo told her. Hunting more monsters would help her out, and since they had evaded Earth first and were already corrupted by the demons, she wouldn’t feel guilty killing them because they had been dragged into this war unwillingly.
Leo had not stopped her from saying anything, so she was sure he was in support of her decisions. Now, for the most important part.
Alice did not plan to go in teams like the others and instead,
"I will take care of China’s subjugation mission and... Just me and Leo will be enough." She confidently announced, shocking everyone.
