As the light of the teleportation faded, I opened my eyes and found myself standing before a massive stone door, half-covered in moss. The air around me was heavy and cold, as if welcoming each visitor with whispers of death. Above the door, ancient carvings with unknown symbols glowed faintly, hinting that this place had been abandoned for a very long time.

I took a deep breath or at least tried to, though my lungs no longer worked like those of an ordinary human. Just a reflex, a habit not yet fully discarded. I exhaled slowly, attempting to calm the tension creeping in, even though my body no longer felt nervous in quite the same way.

Behind me stood three figures werewolf zombies who accompanied me. They weren’t ordinary undead; each had once been a powerful individual. A seasoned receptionist, the wife of a guild leader, and the guild leader himself a true lycan. Now, they were my subordinates, an elite combat force ready to explore this dungeon at my side.

"All right," I murmured. "Let’s begin."

With a light push, the stone door shifted, revealing the pitch darkness within. My footsteps echoed as I stepped onto the stone floor, and instinctively, my eyes adjusted to the low light. My night vision activated automatically, turning the world before me into shades of gray and green clear enough to navigate.

The dungeon was utterly silent. No wind, no dripping water only the faint hiss of death’s aura lingering in every corner.

It didn’t take long before the first enemy appeared a thin skeleton emerged from behind a collapsed pillar. It raised its rusted sword slowly, as if just waking from a long slumber.

I simply stared at it, then struck with a straight punch to its skull. The bone figure flew back and shattered into pieces before it even hit the ground.

"That’s it?" I muttered. "Too weak."

I signaled to my three subordinates. "You handle the rest. I want to save my strength for later."

The zombie werewolves nodded. Though their bodies were dead, the instincts and alertness of predators still lingered within them. And sure enough, throughout the first floor, they managed to avoid basic traps hidden beneath tiles and within walls tripwires, concealed spikes, and auto-triggered arrows.

We continued forward, following a long winding corridor until we found a descending hallway a stone staircase leading us to the second floor.

There, the enemies remained the same: skeletons. But this time, they were more numerous and stronger. Their bones looked denser, and their movements a little faster. Still, for our group, they posed no real challenge. In just a few minutes, the area was cleared.

Floor by floor, we advanced, and with each level came slight changes.

On the third floor, a new variant appeared skeleton archers. They hid behind pillars or ruins, launching arrows at us from a distance. Some struck the walls; one nearly grazed my shoulder but none were truly dangerous. My werewolf zombies adapted quickly, zigzagging as they attacked and destroying the archers with precision.

The fourth floor ramped up the numbers. Now the enemies came in groups, some trying to lure us into kill zones. But it was futile. I joined the battle this time, using my claws and chains in tandem to destroy clusters of skeletons at once. Minor spells like pressure bursts or wind pushes scattered their formations.

On the fifth floor, a new threat emerged skeleton mages. Wearing tattered robes and holding cracked staves, they could cast simple spells like Fireball and Shock Bolt. But my reflexes were far superior. With help from reflective barriers and emergency teleportation I’d learned from the lich, their attacks were easy to counter. In some cases, I even reflected their spells back at their allies.

The sixth floor featured more mages, now with support units. Some acted as tanks heavily armed skeletons that held the front line while the mages attacked from the rear. But my squad had begun to form strategies of their own. The lycan former guild leader took command of the formation, while the other two flanked and struck from the sides. They worked like an elite force... or at least, like echoes of who they once were.

The seventh floor brought another surprise: skeletal beasts. I saw bones shaped like wolves, bears, even giant serpents. They were fast and vicious, but still no match for our teamwork. At one point, I even rode a skeletal bear to crash down upon a group of archers hiding atop a pillar.

The eighth floor intensified everything: more enemies, stronger, more aggressive. Yet still, we pushed forward. I began to sense... this place was leading us somewhere. Like it was deliberately guiding us toward something greater.

The ninth floor confirmed my suspicion.

The skeletons here were more organized. They didn’t attack wildly, but in formation. Some acted as captains, giving commands. They spread out, ambushed from multiple angles, and even tried to lure us into narrow corridors.

But unfortunately for them, I wasn’t just any fighter. I was the Queen of Zombies, and my instincts for battlefield control were razor-sharp. Within minutes, I reversed their trap lured them into an open space, then crushed them in one sweeping attack. Chains lashed out, ensnared several skeletons, lifted them into the air and I shattered them all at once.

Finally... we reached the tenth floor.

This corridor was different. Quieter. Darker. And... larger. I saw no stairs leading downward as usual. Instead, we found a massive stone gate at the far end of the room, sealed tight with a large skull emblem at its center.

I approached and touched its surface. The stone was cold and strangely... felt like it was pulsing.

"This... the boss room?" I murmured.

Cautiously, I pushed the gate open. The massive stone doors creaked slowly, revealing the chamber beyond.

Heavy footsteps echoed from within the darkness.

Thud... Thud... Thud...

The ground shook. Dust fell from the ceiling. A strange breathing sound though breathless resonated in the chamber.

Then, from within the black mist, the figure emerged.

Bones fused together into the shape of a humanoid creature, standing eight meters tall. Its hollow eyes glowed green, and every step it took left cracks in the stone floor.

A giant skeleton a high-tier monster. Finally... a worthy opponent.

I smiled slowly. "At last... something interesting."

I lowered my stance, fully activating my aura. Claws and chains extended from my body, magic gathered around me, and the three zombie werewolves prepared behind me.

The real battle was about to begin.
