Chapter 598 - 596: SHIPMENT ARRIVAL
When the twins came back with their suitcases gone, Diamond’s juice was all gone.
"Is everything done?" she asked as she looked at the two.
"Um. All is well. We just have to wait for an hour and a half before we depart."
Diamond nodded in understanding and said, "okay. There is still time."
Patience clapped her hands excitedly and suggested, "sis, how about we tour around?"
Diamond smiled faintly at the girl as she rose to her feet, shaking her head. "I don’t have to tour around. I need to drop by a certain office. How about we go together?"
When the twins heard that, they looked at Diamond, wondering what she was up to again. How come with them gone for a while, she already found something to do?
However, they didn’t question her, but simply agreed. Following her was fun anywhere.
Diamond and the twins left the café and headed for the office, which was on the other side of the airport. It took them a while to get there. When they arrived, there were a few people in the office and the presence of the three was quite noticeable.
Diamond didn’t wait for long as it was shortly her time.
She walked to the counter where she got served by a young man.
Diamond took out her ID card and handed it over to the other as she said, "I am here to sign some documents. My shipment just arrived," explaining her reason.
The young man took the ID card with a polite smile on his face and typed a few things on the computer before he raised his head to look at her with reverence.
Diamond merely smiled, understanding why the other was acting like that. Remembering how large her shipment was, it wouldn’t be shocking for anyone to react like that.
"Please wait a moment. I will be back," the young man respectfully said before leaving the counter.
Diamond waited for a bit before the young man returned with someone older. Probably the person in charge.
The newcomer exited the counter side and came over to her and said in a flattering tone, "Ms. Perry, welcome. I was the one who called you earlier."
Diamond recognized the voice at once and wore a smile on her face before answering, "it’s a pleasure to meet you."
"The pleasure is all mine," the man beamingly said, holding several documents and added, "if you don’t mind. Can we go outside and take a look first before we sign?"
Diamond didn’t refuse when she heard that making her look easygoing, something that put the man at ease.
"That’s good. It will take a while to reach there," he didn’t forget to remind.
When Diamond heard that, she looked at the twins with a frown on her face.
To reach the office, they walked for over fifteen minutes. At this rate, if the girls tagged along, they might miss their flight.
The twins realized the same thing as well and felt their hearts ache, but nothing could be done.
"Sis, we will return. You go and do your business. We will inform you when we board," not wanting to cause problems for Diamond, the twins volunteered to retreat.
Diamond’s frown disappeared after hearing that. The girls were becoming adults and knew what was important.
Although she didn’t expect to part this way, there was nothing that could be done.
As a result, Diamond hugged the twins and nagged at them for a while, making the agent sweat a bit. Who would have guessed that she was the same, even in real life?
After giving the twins her piece, she reluctantly bade farewell before going to the other side with the agent.
On the way to where the goods were, Diamond listened to the man enthusiastically explain to her about the procedures and all that.
"Because your shipment is big, it will take a while before everything is checked. However, on the 20th, everything will be ready to be transported to the destination of your choice."
Diamond didn’t understand how these procedures worked. As long as she gets her goods in time, she didn’t mind waiting.
It took a while to reach the cargo plane. Seeing the enormous plane, she couldn’t help but whistle in amazement. Looking at the plane, she was reminded of the jet she was rewarded.
Soon she would be someone with a spot at the airport as well. When that time comes, she would travel all she wants without any reservations.
With the agent’s eloquent skills, the procedures went all smoothly. Besides, all she had to do was use her senses to check her goods. Fortunately, there wasn’t any damage that she could see. Of course, she would have to check once everything gets unboxed, but for now, there weren’t any issues.
It took her two hours before she was done with everything. The company even provided transport services, so she hired them on the spot. They would be in charge of transporting her goods to the warehouse on the 20th.
Once that was dealt with, Diamond then checked her phone and realized that the girls had sent her messages some time ago. They had left Frin.
With the girls gone and the shipment dealt with, Diamond had time to herself now.
As she drove her car away from the airport, she wondered if she should just head home or do something productive.
It took her thirty minutes before she found an answer.
Without hesitation, she made a call to Cain and informed him that she would be going there.
She was curious about how the new farm was doing so far.
With that appointment done, she made a call to Admire, the General Manager in charge of Hopeguard Force and informed him about the warehouse matter.
The warehouse was under the protection of the security team, so necessary preparations needed to be done. On top of it, she wanted them to be in charge of helping to escort the trucks when the time arrives.
After doing so, there were no more calls to make. However, that didn’t mean that she was idle.
At the moment, the ongoing projects and pending ones were so many, the thought of them made her head pound.
Nonetheless, she couldn’t run away from her responsibilities. She could only work hard and do her best.
